Cari-Lenn Orr
Modern, Jazz
Cari-Lenn attended The University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Contemporary Dance. She also studied in New York City at The Ailey School, where she graduated from the Ailey’s Certificate Program in 2001. At The Ailey School, Cari-Lenn had the good fortune to assist the former Director, the late Denise Jefferson. During her career in New York, Ms. Orr danced with choreographers such as Matthew Rushing, Earl Mosley, Hope Boykin, Fredrick Moore, and LaTrisa Harper.
Cari-Lenn also performed with a variety of dance and theater companies throughout the New York, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. Ms. Orr was a guest artist with the Broadway cast of The Lion King for an annual fund-raising performance. She apprenticed with Urban Bush Women. She also served on faculty for outreach programs and art conservatories teaching dance to children and adults of all ages.
