Donna Griffin
Classical Ballet
Donna Griffin began her training at Aesthetics Dance in Ellicott City, MD, where she performed with their Howard County Ballet. Donna spent two summers at the Ballet Theatre of Maryland School and later with the world renowned ballerina Rosella Hightower at the Ecole Supérieure de Danse de Cannes. In 2002, Donna moved to New York to pursue a degree in Forensic Psychology and to further her dance training. In New York, she studied at Steps On Broadway with internationally recognized Emilietta Ettlin and David Howard. She taught ballet and Ettlin Floor Technique at Steps On Broadway and Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan.
Upon graduating from college, Donna performed with the Greensboro Ballet. Donna has also performed as a guest artist in such roles as the Sugarplum Fairy in "The Nutcracker", and Rose in Walltown Children’s Theatre’s production of "Waiting for Martin". Currently, Donna dances with the Winston-Salem Festival Ballet, whose inaugural season begins in the summer of 2009.
