Margot Martin
Ballet
Margot Martin has been immersed in the art of movement for 24 years. After receiving her training from Tuzer Ballet in Dallas TX and Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle WA, Ms. Martin went on to become a founding member of Carolina Ballet. Through her 13-season career, she performed the full repertoire of the company including works by George Balanchine, Robert Weiss, Lynn Taylor Corbett, Jose Limon, Antony Tudor, Christopher
Weeldon, Margo Sappington, and Damien Woetzel. In 2005, she received a grant from Career Transitions for Dancers and earned her 200 hour Yoga certification from Alan Finger in New York City.
Ms. Martin began teaching ballet locally and internationally in 2004. She is currently on the faculty of St. Mary’s School and Raleigh School of Ballet. Other programs she has been a part of include Carolina Ballet Summer Intensive, Lilburn School of Ballet, Hathaway Academy, and the Caribbean School of Dancing.
