Sherree Roller

Sherree Roller received a professional teaching certificate from the School of the Hartford Ballet in Connecticut and joined its faculty in 1979. In 1983 she received a BFA degree from The Juilliard School of Performing Arts in NYC and danced with several modern dance choreographers. In 1988, she received an MFA degree in dance from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Ms. Roller has taught ballet at the Feld Ballet School and Peridance in New York City and has been a faculty member of the SUNY Youth Ballet at Purchase NY. She was a visiting guest artist at Randolph Macon Woman’s College, VA from 1988-95. In 1987 Sherree co-founded the Tappan Zee Dance Group in Tarrytown, NY, where she taught for 14 years. In 1992 she formed a Teen Repertory Dance Company for which she was the artistic director until 2002 when she moved to North Carolina. Since moving to the Raleigh area, Sherree has been an instructor of ballet at Arts Together in Raleigh, and guest instructor of ballet and modern at Duke University in Durham.
