addition to evening dance classes, North Carolina Dance Institute
offers a variety of summer workshops, intensives, and dance
camps for children and teens of all levels. Registration
is still open for all summer programs, with payment
due at registration. Camp costs are shown for each camp, and
the annual NCDI registration may apply, if applicable. Refunds
can be issued up to 2 weeks prior to the start of any camp,
workshop, or intensive. Please fill out a Summer

Choreography
and Jazz /Modern Techniques will be covered in this fast-paced
week of choreography with North Carolina Dance Institute
Artistic Director, Kirstie Tice and her former student,
Grady Bowman, currently earning a BFA in Dance from the
prestigious North Carolina School of the Arts. Morning
technique class start each day at 9:00am and are followed
by choreography sessions that last until 12:00pm. Choreography
workshops will end in a showcase for parents at the North
Carolina Dance Institute. Only 25 students per workshop. |

original Broadway Choreography from Broadway Shows under
the direction of Freddie-Lee Heath. Freddie-Lee has choreographed
many musicals throughout NC and is the Director of the
Ligon Arts Magnet School Tapestry Tap Ensemble. Freddie-Lee
teaches a fast-paced, upbeat, Jazz-based dance camp. This
camp will have the kids dancing along to great Broadway
tunes. |

Summer
Ballet Intensives are very popular at NCDI. Many students
catch up on their Ballet vocabulary and technical training
during the summer. NCDI encourages all students who wish
to be in higher placement classes during the Fall Semester
to participate in a Ballet Intensive. Ballet Intensives
will consist of a 2 hr. technique class with emphasis
on fast-paced coverage of classical ballet fundamentals.
Proper Ballet shoes and leotards (any color) are required. |

Creative Arts Camps

Carolina Dance Institute offers an imaginative and creative
PlayDance Arts Camp for 3-4 yrs. Children will dance along
with their favorite fairy tales and create dance-related
artistic crafts. Each fun-filled day will consist of a
45 minute dance class, a much needed snack break, followed
by the completion of a craft. All craft materials and
snacks are supplied by NCDI. Just bring your child with
their Ballet slippers and they will bring home a craft
that they create! This is a wonderful experience for inspiring
the budding young artist who loves to dance! |
